In the fall, CPSR hosted its annual Advances in Stroke Recovery meeting in conjunction with the Canadian Stroke Congress. The focus of the meeting was a lively panel discussion on the lessons-learned from the AVERT Trial, the largest-ever trial on the timing and intensity of post-stroke rehabilitation.
The panel was moderated by Dr. Dale Corbett, Scientific Director of CPSR, and Dr. Carol Richards of Universite Laval.
Speakers included Dr. Janice Eng of UBC, Dr. Andrew Demchuk of the University of Calgary, Dr. Gert Kwakkel of the Netherlands and Dr. Tom Carmichael of UCLA.
Videos of their presentations and the Question-and-Answer Session after the panel discussion have now been posted under VIDEOS on our website. You can also watch a video lecture by AVERT research leader Dr. Julie Bernhardt, which was delivered to CPSR researchers in Ottawa last year.
There was simultaneous translation for the panel discussion and we are waiting to receive a version of the videos with the French translation. These videos will be posted as soon as possible.
