Google Earth and an exercise bike promote stroke recovery

Imagine being plunked in Paris, France in front of a boulangerie. The Eiffel Tower can be seen in the distance. Your task? Find your way on a bike through the streets of Paris to the iconic French landmark, while enjoying the architecture and atmosphere along the way. HSF Canadian Partnership for Stroke Recovery researchers at the University of Waterloo are using Google Earth’s virtual world and specialized exercise equipment to take people recovering from stroke on adventures around the world.
