Stroke rehabilitation research leader Dr. Michelle Ploughman of Memorial University has been awarded the Rhodes Inspirational Educators Award. Launched in 2016 as a way of recognizing unsung heroes in education, Rhodes Scholars were invited to nominate exceptional mentors who influenced their lives before they received their Rhodes Scholarship, largely recognized as the world’s most prestigious international scholarship.

An important update has been released for the Heart & Stroke Canadian Stroke Best Practice Recommendations (CSBPR) for Telestroke. Now spanning the continuum of care from prevention through to rehabilitation, the toolkit includes tips and checklists for effective and efficient virtual healthcare systems for a range of goals.
